The age where you're somewhere and nowhere at the same time. Wondering where the fuck your life went and seriously in denial that you're 5 years away from reaching 30.
No, I'm not going to be that person.
If you're turning 25 or having an anxiety attack about getting to whatever age you're approaching, and you look into the distance at the more "successful" and "happier" few who are miles ahead of you.
Look to your side and take comfort in the fact that there are lots more people where you're at. you can choose to race them, fight them, beat them or you can take their hand and enjoy their company while you can.
Someday, you'll be that person walking into the sunset, flipping your hair and strutting your stuff.
So, what have I learned in my 25 years of living on this planet?
Nothing earth-shatteringly eye-opening, unfortunately, but I can say I've learned to stop putting up with shit I shouldn't be okay with. If you don't like it, say it and if you can't say it, complain to someone about it. Nothing will drive you crazier than keeping all that negativity bottled up.
Also, I learned going crazy once in a while is not a bad thing.
Go get drunk some time. Go on that blind date. EAT THAT SECOND SNICKERS BAR.
Shit going wrong? Stuck?
It's okay. Something better will come along. Go do something that makes you happy.
Hakuna Matata people.
Lol for some reason this post has become something like a self-motivation thing.
Either way, there were a lot of ups and downs this year. I left my job and got a new one. Lost some friends and made some new ones. Learned new things and got new hobbies. Cried here and there but I definitely laughed more.
This birthday is probably one of the happiest I've had. I'd really like to thank all my friends for taking the time out of their lives to celebrate it with me. I hope we keep this up until we're all old and grey.
I'm not good at mushy stuff so here are shoutouts to my fave peeps who celebrated ma day with me!
Yes, Saiful there are no pics of you but at least your hand is in the pic. LOL
