Postcrossing: The Project and My Experiences
What is Postcrossing?
If you're not familiar with Postcrossing, it is basically a community that allows you to send and receive postcards from all over the world. So if you send out a postcard, you will receive one too.
It's that simple! Nothing too complicated.
In Malaysia alone there are about 4108 members! That may seem like a small number but I believe that it makes the postcards from Malaysians all the more special! (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ
In the time that I've been participating in Postcrossing, I found the most exciting thing to be the little notes people leave you on the back of the postcard. Sure the postcards are pretty, but it's the little personal notes from strangers that make my day.
Yes, occasionally you get the odd postcard that just says "Happy Postcrossing!" then they write their name and the date the postcard was sent. It's still exciting to receive something in the mail!
Another great thing is that you can see how far your postcards have travelled and how many postcards you have sent and received so far.
